Training & Leveling in +1 Stone Skipping — Level Up to Throw Farther
How training works in +1 Stone Skipping: what levels do to your throws, how auto-training keeps progress running, and the fastest way to push toward Level 999.

Training is the quiet half of progression. The official description says it plainly: “Train and level up to throw farther.” While Skill comes from your bounces, training raises your level — a separate, permanent layer of throw power that keeps working even on a bad throw.
What leveling actually changes
The official artwork draws the contrast perfectly: at Level 1 your stone plops down for a single +1; at Level 999 the same motion sends a golden disc soaring for +1M. Between those poles, every level nudges three things in your favor:
- Base throw distance — your stone starts its flight from a stronger launch
- Bounce resilience — a stronger throw skips rather than sinks, and bounces are where Skill comes from
- Zone reach — farther landings pay more Wins, which is where leveling stops being cosmetic and starts being income
The exact per-level numbers are not published by the developer; what matters in practice is that levels are permanent and never reset except by choice through Rebirth.
Active training vs auto-training
Both matter, and they solve different problems:
- Active training — trigger the training action between throws during a play session. It converts attention into immediate level progress and pairs well with Skill Potions, which boost the stat your levels support.
- Auto-training — the game trains for you over time, including while you are idle in-server. Community guidance is consistent on this: buy auto-training upgrades early, because they keep your level climbing during the parts of the session you spend aiming and throwing instead of exercising.
The practical split: active training when you are at the keyboard, auto-training to make sure nothing stalls when you are not. Offline progression for cash-style idle income is a feature of some similar simulators, but this game’s verified loop is in-server — log in, let auto-training run, throw between sets.
The fastest leveling route
- Train in bursts between throws — a set of training, then a throw, repeat. Throws bank Skill while training raises the ceiling.
- Spend your first Wins on training upgrades before cosmetics — early multipliers on training speed pay compounding dividends.
- Redeem codes for Potions and stack them with training sessions — the active code list refreshes around every world update.
- Set a level checkpoint per session — for example, push your level far enough that your landing zone advances once before you stop. Zone advances are the real scoreboard of a training session, because they raise your Wins rate permanently.
When leveling hits a wall
If your level climbs but your landing zone refuses to move, the bottleneck is usually gear, not muscle: check the stones and throwables ladder for the next upgrade, or revisit Rebirth — trading a mature run for permanent strength is the designed answer to a stalled curve.
