Skill & Wins in +1 Stone Skipping — What They Do and How to Farm Them

Skill and Wins are the two core stats in +1 Stone Skipping. Here is exactly what each one controls, how every bounce feeds them, and the fastest ways to earn more.

Two stats run the entire game: Skill makes your throws stronger, Wins pay for everything you unlock. Understanding how they feed each other is the difference between grinding in place and climbing steadily.

Skill — the throw-strength stat

The official description is explicit: “Every bounce gives you +1 Skill.” Skill measures your throwing power, and it compounds:

  • More Skill → the stone flies farther before sinking
  • Farther flights → more bounces per throw
  • More bounces → even more Skill

That loop is why early progression feels explosive: a mediocre throw still teaches your arm something. Skill Potions from codes accelerate the loop directly, and training raises the floor underneath it.

Wins — the unlock currency

“Reach farther zones to earn more Wins” — the game scores every throw by where the stone lands, and distant zones pay exponentially better than the shallows near the bank. Wins are what you spend on:

  • Better stones and strange throwables — the unlock ladder runs from gray stone to flaming rock to a UFO disc
  • Eggs — which hatch pets with permanent boosts
  • Training and convenience upgrades

Wins also survive as your long-term score: the game tracks your progression across worlds, and Rebirth turns accumulated strength into permanent multipliers (rebirth guide).

The farming loop that actually works

The efficient session rhythm ties both stats together:

  1. Throw until progress stalls — bank the Skill from every bounce while your current gear is fresh
  2. Spend Wins on distance — the next stone upgrade is almost always the right buy, because it moves your landing zone farther
  3. Push the new farthest zone — this is where Wins per throw jump; farm it until the next upgrade is affordable
  4. Potions on the far zone, not the shallows — a Win Potion multiplies a big number far better than a small one

Common mistakes

  • Saving Wins for a mystery goal. Distance upgrades pay for themselves — an upgraded stone earns the next upgrade faster than hoarding ever will.
  • Ignoring training. Active throws get the glory, but training lifts every future throw for free.
  • Farming the wrong zone. If your stone reliably dies two zones short of your best, your Skill or stone is the bottleneck — fix that first, then the far zone pays you instead.
